Welcome to my stocking stuffer gift guide! I’m very excited to share these products that were handpicked by me from some of my favourite local brands.
Here are the brands I’m highlighting:
Abeego beeswax food wraps
This is a fantastic zero waste product to #keepfoodalive, from a Victoria (Vancouver Island) company. They’re a staple in my kitchen for helping store leftovers and fight food waste. (PS. Check out the interview I did with Abeego’s founder, Toni Desrosiers!)
These snack bags, wet/dry bags, and silicone straws are perfect for kids or work lunches. I like using them for my little guy on the go. No more single-use plastic bags! Plus, they’re lightweight and can handle wet foods.
The smell of beeswax candles is one of my favourite smells of all time! These pure beeswax candles are sustainably handcrafted in BC. Honey Candles sources their beeswax from ethical beekeepers that support healthy bee populations. And of course, they’re beautiful and clean burning, without chemical additives.
This might just be my favourite bar soap company! They make palm-free natural bar soap with compostable labels, and they have some very cool, fun scents (like their beer soaps!).
Why did I choose these products?
- The companies are all local, small businesses.
- The products are low-waste, and can help encourage others to make more eco-friendly choices.
- Each of the companies is invested in doing things in an eco-friendly, sustainable way.
- They’re all sure to be well received and enjoyed!
What about you? What will you be gifting in stockings this year? Do you have any local companies you love?
